Description
Grand Banks 41 Heritage EU 'Balou' has two 425 hp Cummins engines that are coupled to the Zeus pod system and with that the 41 Heritage EU can reach a top speed of 24 knots. In June 2022, new pods were installed and a major service was done to the Cummins engines.
Performance and technology aren't the only highlights of the 'Balou', The interior is equally impressive. Pod drives require significantly less space than traditional propeller shaft drives. As a result, under the salon floor is a spacious storage space suitable for washing machine, tools, freezer etc ... This isn't the only advantage of the pod drives; it significantly reduces noise in the living space and on top of the flybridge.
The ZEUS system makes manoeuvring very easy, together with the joystick and the bow thruster docking is more easy and with a push of a button on the Skyhook system, the ship stays still in place with the nose in the right direction.
